Instructor Paul Chesterton

My name is Paul Chesterton, and I am the instructor for Wombourne. I am currently a Fifth-degree black belt, training for Sixth-degree with the Taekwon-Do Association of Great Britain (T.A.G.B).

I originally started Taekwon-Do as so many people do, for something to do with friends. I first trained at the Kidderminster Tae Kwon-Do school in 1996 run by instructor Mr. Vince Farquharson (6th degree).

I passed my Black Belt in October 2001 and in 2005 I started to assist Mr Andy Warr the then instructor of Wombourne.

In 2008 I became a fully qualified and insured British Tae Kwon-Do Council Instructor, recognised by Sport UK (formally the Sports Council). Subsequently Mr Andy Warr handed over the school to me.

I am a fully qualified Umpire and Referee for the TAGB.

I am fully insured through the BTC (British Tae Kwon Do Council).

I am DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked

I am First aid trained.

Wombourne Taekwondo is a proud member of the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain, the largest single martial arts association in the world. We are members of the British Taekwondo Council, recognised by Sport UK as the only governing body for Taekwondo in the UK.

I considers myself very fortunate to have had instruction from members of the T.A.G.B committee, world Champions, and some of the best professionals in the country.

It's my goal to pass on this knowledge to all his students as well as incorporating new ideas and moving Tae Kwon-Do forward,

My aim is to produce students, who are better than myself. Who can then take not only the Wombourne School forward, but also TaeKwon-Do as a whole.
